Installation Instruction
※Surface adhesive of the wear-resistant soft band of machine tool slide guide
The wear-resistant soft band is the thin plate of fluorine compound mainly, and is spliced on the metal surface roughly processed by machining through JB-1 adhesives after the activate processing.
※Preparation for surface polishing
The material of wear-resistant soft band machine tool slide guide---do not use sand paper to polish JBF surface that already processed or make the already processed JBF surface become coarse, otherwise, the adhesive strength willbe reduced.Keep the adhesive surface clean and dry without any dirt or chemical materials(including hand print with dirt), as these factors will reduce the adhesive strength.
Metal surface---accurately polishing the metal adhesive surface is very important for the adhesive strength.In order to reach the maximum adhesive strength, the roughness of the polished metal adhesive surface is from 1.6 to 6.3μm.The already grind-in or non-polished metal surface will decrease the adhesive strength, generate the phenomenon of separating at the adhesive position, and penetrate oil dirt in metal through flame during maintenance.
※Clean the adhesive surface
To ensure the material to be clean without dirt or oil stains, use acetone or anhydrous alcohol to wash for three times at least;if the dirt or oil stains are not completely eliminated, the adhesive strip may be peeled off.When the environmental humidity is more than 90%, the adhesive strength may be reduced.
Metal surface---to guarantee satisfied adhesive bonding, it is required to thoroughly clean the polished metal adhesive surface.It is required to use acetone or anhydrous alcohol to wash for three times at least, to ensure the original dirt to be cleaned up completely.After cleaning, keep the surfaces of metal and material clean before adhesive bonding, and do not approach any dirt.
※Final preparation work
After the surfaces of metal and material have been cleaned up and dried, the final cleaning must be carried out before adhesive bonding.Use a piece of white and linen-free cloth sodden with acetone or anhydrous alcohol to clean up the dirt remained on surfaces.After the final cleaning is finished, make two surfaces completely dried by gas, before adhesive bonding, and do not touch these two surfaces.After the final cleaning, do not use the compressed air to dry the surfaces, for there may be moisture or dust in compressed air to make the adhesive fall off.
※JB-1 Adhesives Preparation
Since the two components JB-1 adhesives of our company can provide the maximum adhesive strength, it is the only designated adhesives.Take adhesives according to the volume ratio A:B=1(0.5-1), and mix uniformly in open container or on the flat plate.The adhesives mixed uniformly must be used up as soon as possible, the higher the temperature, the shorter the service time.The container with the leftover A and B components should be covered immediately.
※Adhesion of the two surfaces
Use the saw-toothed scraper to coat a thin layer of JB-1 adhesives evenly on the two surfaces.If the adhesive is too thin or too thick, the adhesive effect will be affected.Place the material flatly on the surface of metal adhesive surface, and then press from one end to the other, eliminate the bubbles on adhesive surface as much as possible.Use the pressing block or clamp to exert pressure(0.05MPa-0.1MPa)on the two adhesive surfaces.The curing time is about 24 hours..If adhesive is used where the ambient temperature is below 5°℃, the curing time has to be extended accordingly..Never perform bonding operation where the ambient temperature is below-5°℃ .
※ Final polishing of material.
After the adhesive is fully cured, the material could be processed with a miller or grinding wheel, or by means of hand scraping..Milling or grinding process normally requires no coolant..Where a grinding wheel is used, enclosure-free grinding wheel and coolant are recommended to prevent overtemperature..The use of coolant in grinding operation enables higher degree of surface finish.
※Processing of oil groove.
To achieve the best performance of guide rail, it's essential to provide and maintain a lubricant film constantly between mating surfaces.The depth of oil groove fabricated at material surface shall not exceed material thickness.The oil groove edge is required to be provided with a transitional fillet so that the oil could flow through the surface via oil groove, thus forming a hydrodynamic film.There are lots of feasible oil groove design types successfully employed by machine manufacturers.Essentially, the oil groove shall be designed in such a manner that it diagonally or perpendicularly faces towards the travel direction, by which lubricating oil could penetrate between bond surfaces.The processed oil groove shall not be less than 6mm away from material edge.
※Polishing of the metal mating surface
The surface smoothness of rigidity mating surface of material(usually referring to slide guide)must reach 0.4-0.8μm, to obtain the ideal performance.Do not use the superposed metal mating surface or the polishing materials;the slipping phenomenon may happen during such process, and the friction in movement process may also be increased;in order to get better performance, the surface area that the slide guide directly contacts with soft band must reach the maximum.The most ideal surface contacting can ensure the even lubrication distribution and uniform oil film thickness to the benefit of fluid drive.
