FAQ

What working environments (e.g., temperature, pressure, media) can your seals withstand?

Our seals can be customized to meet different needs. They can withstand temperatures from -60℃ to over 300℃, pressures from 0-40MPa, and are compatible with various media such as oils, water, gases, and chemical solvents. Detailed parameters are available for specific product specifications.

How often should seals be inspected for wear?

This depends on the application: For high-pressure/high-temperature systems (such as hydraulic cylinders in construction machinery), inspect every 500-1000 hours; for household appliances (such as faucet seals), inspect every 6-12 months. During inspection, look for cracks, hardening, or deformation.

What causes premature aging of seals?

Common causes include: Contact with incompatible fluids (e.g., oil-based seals in contact with strong solvents); Extreme temperatures exceeding the seal's rated range; Over-compression during installation; Contaminants within the system (dust, debris).

How to properly clean seals?

Use a mild, non-corrosive cleaner (such as soapy water) and a soft cloth to wipe. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive tools to prevent damage to the seal surface or material (such as rubber or PTFE).

Can seals be reused after disassembly?

Reuse is not recommended. Even if they appear intact, the disassembly process can cause microscopic deformation, affecting sealing performance. Always replace with new seals of the same specifications.

What storage conditions help extend the lifespan of seals?

Store seals in a cool (15-25°C), dry place, away from direct sunlight, ozone, and strong odors. Keep in the original packaging and avoid dust or contact with sharp objects.

How to prevent seals from hardening or becoming brittle?

Avoid prolonged exposure to high temperatures or ultraviolet light. For rubber seals, ensure compatibility with the fluids in the system—use specialized formulations if necessary (e.g., EPDM for water media, fluororubber for oil media).
